On Ramadan’s table - The fasting month
Allâh says:
(O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious)). [Sûrat Al-Baqarah, verse 183]
And The Prophet (Peace be upon him) says:
"When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained."
And The Prophet (Peace be upon him) says:
“My nation has been given five things in Ramadan which were not given to any nation before: The smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Allah says about the fasting person), and the angels ask forgiveness for him till they eat. Allâh beautify daily his Paradise and then says:
“My righteous slaves are almost purified from harm to return to you (the paradise);
The devils will be chained, to stop their usual deeds of other months; and they will be forgiven at the Last night”
It is said: “O Messenger of Allâh: Is it the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)?”
He said: “No, but everyone will be paid his wage in full when he accomplishes his work.”
Allâh had specified these qualities for the Islamic nation only, not for others;
Also Allâh has made us to excel others with another things gifted by him.
For that Allâh said:
(You [true believers in Islâmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) and his Sunnah] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma‘rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden), and you believe in.) [Sûrat Âl-‘Imrân, verse 110]
And The Prophet (Peace be upon him) says:
“Whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."
Having faith in Allah, Pleased with the fasting duty imposed by Allâh, and hoping for a reward and wage from him.
And The Prophet (Peace be upon him) says:
“Five (daily) prayers and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiatious for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals)
provided one shuns the major sins.”
O Allâh! Let Ramadan be a witness for us not over us...
Ameen... Ya Rabb... Ameen... Ameen.
May Allah bless our master Muhammad, his family and his companions, and grant them peace…
