On Ramadan’s table - Recommended Acts for Ramadan
O Muslims, We are still with some Recommended Acts for Ramadan. There are many acts, from them:
The predawn meal(Suhur) which means eating at the end of the night, and so called because it is shortly before dawn. It was ordered by the Prophet (Peace be upon him). He says, "Take Sahur as there is a blessing (Barakah) in it."
Narrated by `Amr bin Al-`As [May Allah be pleased with him]: "The difference between our observance of fasting and that of the people of the Scriptures is Suhur (pre-dawn meal in Ramadan).''
Suhur is a distinctive mark in Ramadan month. There are blessings in it ..
And Allah's Messenger(PBUH)said,
"Taking the pre-dawn meal in Ramadan is a blessing, so do not leave it, even by drinking a mouthful of water.
For Allah the Noble and the Mighty, and His angels send blessing over those who have taken the pre-dawn meal."
Our prophet(Peace be upon him) desired to delay Suhur at the night to wake up for Dawn prayer and it is wise to narrow the fasting time to make things easy for us to avoi suffering, and he does not desire to make things difficult for us .This is a mercy from him to his nation. However the early Suhur may cause the laziness to pray the dawn prayer.
People who take suhur must have the intention to Worship Allah and in obedience to Him
by following his prophet and his Sunnah. They must have the intention to be pious to
gain great reward from Allah.
It is allowed for the fasting person to eat and drink, even after the Suhur or the intention of fasting until dawn.
Allâh says,"...And eat and drink until the white thread (light) of dawn appears to you distinct from the black thread (darkness of night)..." [Sûrat Al-Baqara,verse187]
Narrated By Quotada: Anas bin Malik that: The prophet (PBUH) and Zaid bin Thabit had taken the Suhur together. Then the Prophet stood for the prayer.
I asked,"What was the interval between the Suhur and the Adhan?" He replied, "The interval was sufficient to recite fifty verses of the Qur'an."
O Allâh! Save our tongues, and forgive us and whose have rights to us...
Ameen... Ya Rabb... Ameen... Ameen...
May Allah bless our master Muhammad, his family and his companions, and grant them peace…
